ABOUT CLASSIC REVIVAL

David Burns spent more than 30 years as a machining engineer, manufacturing aerospace parts, medical equipment, and precision industrial components. Having worked as a supervisor in many machine shops, as well as an automotive mechanic in a past life, David has built up extensive knowledge of all things mechanical, the math that makes it all work, and the process of turning ideas into physical objects.

This expertise is the backbone of Classic Revival.

Combining his machining and CAD experience with advanced 3D printing, David gives your valued possessions a second life. From discontinued vehicle interior pieces to household appliance parts that are no longer sold, Classic Revival creates custom replacement parts with careful attention to detail.

We work with different grades of high-quality plastics, including food-grade materials, carbon fiber, and can even create precision metal objects (see our process below).

That same expertise also brings new ideas to life, including custom signs and 3D logos, toys, puzzles, and miniature pet figurines (see our full list of capabilities on the services page).

Whether you’re restoring something you love or creating something entirely new, Classic Revival brings an experienced manufacturing engineer’s care to every project.

We build for people

OUR PROCESS

We begin with an inquiry from you, describing the basic problem or idea (click here to submit yours). We then start the discovery process, gathering all the details, measurements, and specifics about your project and item to-be-made.

Your project is then drafted and modeled in the same CAD software used by aerospace and medical equipment manufacturers.

We then decide the best materials to use for your project. Depending on the job, we will 3D print plastic or carbon fiber components, or create metal objects, by printing physical patterns to be used for metal casting in our foundry.

The final step of the process involves refining the objects for use and assembling any parts requiring multiple components.

Your custom part is then delivered to you, ready to serve its purpose for years to come!
